How to Use Your Files

Everything you need to open, fill in and print your OBSEDIAN program or planner, on any device. It takes about two minutes.

1. Get your download

Your download link appears on the order confirmation page the moment you check out, and arrives by email. No email after a few minutes? Check your spam or promotions folder, then contact us and we’ll resend it.

Download on Wi-Fi if you can. The Complete Sequence™ and the planner are larger files.

2. Open it

iPhone or iPad: tap the download, then open it in the Files app. If it’s a ZIP file, tap it once and it unzips into a folder. Tap any PDF, then use Share to open it in Goodnotes, Notability or Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Android tablet or phone: open the download in the Files app. If it’s a ZIP file, tap Extract. Open the PDF in Xodo, Noteshelf, Samsung Notes or Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Computer: double-click the ZIP to unzip it, then open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader or Apple Preview.

3. Write in it

With a pen or stylus: the digital editions are designed in black. Set your pen to white or silver so your writing shows.

By typing: the programs have fillable fields. Tap a field and type. This works best in Adobe Acrobat Reader or Apple Preview.

Before you write a lot: type a test word, save, close the file, and open it again. If the word is still there, your app saves your answers. If it isn’t, switch to Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is free.

4. Use the links

The workbooks and the planner are hyperlinked. Tap a part, a day, a week or a tab and you land there. In Goodnotes and Notability, switch to read-only or viewing mode to tap links, then switch back to write.

5. Print it

Prefer paper? Use the print-at-home PDFs. Choose US Letter or A4 to match your paper, set scaling to “Fit” or “100%”, and print on any home printer. The print editions have light pages for any pen.

Pick the version that matches how you plan: portrait or landscape, Sunday or Monday start. Import just that one into your app. The stickers are transparent PNGs. In Goodnotes or Notability, add them as images or stickers.
